Blog Post #12 - IT'S TIME FOR QUEBEC TO GO

Hello everyone,

Thought I would call your attention to the headline in this May 14th, 2012 National Post article by Paul Russell.

Why am I bringing this article to your attention?
Well, back in 1995, Canada was at yet another potential turning point.

Quebec and the FPTB had once again decided that "they" ---

(isn't it interesting how "they" are constantly the ones with the power (and dare I say it, the cajunas) to make such decisions at the mercy, and with little concern for EVERYONE ELSE in this country)

--- had decided to take a vote and attempt to separate themselves from Canada

-- YET AGAIN !! --

I recognize now, admittedly more than I did at that time, how insulting this should have been to me back then, and also how insulting it should actually be to me, and to all Canadians, NOW.

I am pretty sure the FPTB would be quite insulted if the RoC were constantly threatening, every several years, to vote about whether to boot Quebec out of Canada or not.

I can only just imagine the indignation the FPTB would claim they felt if Canadians were indeed voting every couple of years as to whether to "keep them" around or not.

I can just hear them whining now...

But, once again, it's "them" that are doing it, and thus, "they" don't see any problem with it what-so-ever.

As for me...
In the lead up to that particular attempt to break up my country in 1995, I was still under the belief (some would say illusion) that this country / slash / my country should stay together.

A group of us gathered on parliament hill
cheering for Canada to stay together
I, and many other Canadians, actually went out into the streets with our  candles and signs and stood there chanting.  No... No... No...
Say no to breaking up Canada.

--------------------------

Well, that was then, and this is now...

It's been another 20 years and what have I seen?
What have -- we all -- seen?

We have seen 20 more years of the the English speaking majority in the RoCanada giving and giving while Quebec and the FPTB just keep taking and taking and  demanding more and more bounty for supposedly "being nice enough" to stay in Canada as they take our tax money (en Francais SVP) and continue to abuse their power, and our good will.

RIGHT !!!

We have also seen 20 more years of everyone in all the RoCanada scrambling around

trying to --- BE MORE FRENCH ---

as mothers and fathers all over this country send their little Johnny's and little Sarah's off to French immersion schooling at enormous cost to Canadian tax payers just to -- TRY -- and appease the French fact.

Meanwhile the French PTB continue doing the exact opposite.

{As you see in this CLIP} they continue to treat the English language, the English speaking people (and just about anything Canadian for that matter) with complete and utter contempt and disrespect while they continue to pass laws which restrict and diminish the English language.

During those early years, the FPTB kept making life difficult for the English speaking people while also making it almost impossible to attain an education in English within the province of Quebec.  Therefore, most people simply gave up and either sent their "provincial" little Johnny's and Sarah's to French schools or, they picked up and left the province all together.

All of this and, what do we have to show ? What has -- THE REST OF CANADA -- received in return for voting to keep Quebec as part of Canada?

{just as an aside here. One HAS TO take heed of the terminology surrounding all of this with phrases like "voting to keep Quebec and the FPTB from separating" and " -- they -- took a vote as to whether -- they -- wanted to separate."  It all speaks volumes regarding this issue.}

So, what has the rest of Canada received?

Not a heck of a lot.
We have seen the French powers that be, both in the province of Quebec and other areas like eastern Ontario and New Brunswick, gain more and more power and control.

Power and control that they are using to consolidate their hold on the federal system while at the same time doing the exact opposite and pushing towards being ever more French in those areas where they have gained control.

In other words moving further and further from the very "thing" they say they are looking for from the RoC

--- BILINGUALISM ---

Yes, that's right.  Wherever the FPTB have gained any semblance of larger numbers, or any recognizable state of control, that area then becomes French dominant, with the French PTB doing everything they can ---

(including passing laws like bill Z22 which is a version of the law that led to BILL 101 in the province of Quebec)

--- to squash the English language and ultimately push away the English speaking people / slash / Canadians.

Don't believe me? Take a look at New Brunswick.

-----------------------------------
Here we see an area that some regard as Canada's version of the Canary in the coal mine when it comes to

FRENCHIFICATION of Canada

{WATCH THIS CLIP}
Please note, she clearly say's,
"any new signs must be bilingual
with French FIRST."

 AND

"Dieppe is a Francophone city that offers service in both official languages.

It is not... A bilingual city.

-----------------------------------

These so called "truths" (I hesitate to call them FACTS) according to the person in this clip, were not "truths" at all a few years ago.  Hence the Canary in the coal mine motto.

And, if Canadians continue to give "FABRICATED" credence to the idea that one must be "bilingual" to get ahead in this country then we are all accomplices in our own demise as we are helping to promote this kind of fantasy situation which ONLY BENEFITS the French PTB.

While the FPTB and the province of Quebec continue on doing the EXACT OPPOSITE.

In the Mid seventies, the province of Quebec was the first area to commence a well documented genocide of the English speaking people who lived in that province.  The FPTB decided that THEY -- should be in charge -- then THEY proceeded to do just that.

TAKE CONTROL and...

BE IN CHARGE

The English speaking Canadians living there tried to fight back, to some degree at first, but then realized that the province of Quebec was not worth fighting over and, at the same time they also realized it was much easier just to move away and leave.

The FPTB then, as you see in this clip, went on to cleanse the province of anything "English."

Many English speaking people who left came to Ontario.  And now, many of those same people are beginning to think about moving even further west because the FPTB are starting make a push for Frenchification in parts of Ontario now as well.

Yes, the trend seems to be that, it all begins with a plea for an area to become "bilingual" but, so called "bilingualism", it would seem, is just a mere transitional phase.

Once an area becomes more and more "bilingual" / slash / French, then the French PTB begin to show that age old concern about being ASSIMILATED which in turn triggers this old French PTB mind set...

--- If we mix and mingle with those who speak English our kids will begin to speak English ---
So, the FPTB end up doing EXACTLY what they did in the province of Quebec, and what they are now doing in other areas like New Brunswick and eastern Ontario.

They begin opening French ONLY health care clinics, and French ONLY schools which hire French ONLY (or as they call them "bilingual") workers.  Which, in essence, means that all these jobs ONLY go to people with a French background since more, or rather most "bilingual" people are naturally from a French background which in turn leads to that community eventually ---

(as more and more English speaking people cannot find work and simply move away)

--- becoming pretty much French dominant area.

So, we see same pattern as different areas go from so called "bilingual" areas ---

(a quasi legitimate way to "sell" this whole concept to the rest of the people without an immediate uprising)

--- to French ONLY, or rather French dominant areas where street signs, business signs, and even signs on schools and stores become more and more French first, French dominant or even French ONLY.

Then, inevitably the FPTB begin to get increasingly bolder and bolder until, as you see in this clip...

The Aldermen in the city counsel in one of these small areas begins refusing to speak English to their constituents only to, in a twisted form of whatever you wish to call this cr@p, turn around and accuse those who would understandably challenge such ridiculousness as being "provocative."

Talk about insanity ...

The idea of using such a twisted psychological ploy to attempt to turn the table and put the blame on the person who has the most rights in this situation and accuse them of being provocative? REALLY?

I couldn't make this stuff up if i tried.
It's purely the stuff of a fantasy novel.

But, in the end...
When all of this information is duly considered

It really does seem obvious that it is indeed ...
TIME FOR QUEBEC TO GO.

Blog Post #11 - DID YOU KNOW? - FIP PROGRAM -

The
Federal Identity Policy / Program.

{ FIP }

Yes, that's right the...

Federal Identity Program

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
--------------
The Federal Identity Program (FIP) is the Canadian government's corporate identity program. The purpose of the FIP is to clearly identify each program and service of the government or the government of Canada in general. Managed by the Treasury Board Secretariat, this program, and the government's communication policy, help to shape the public image of the government. In general, logos – or, in the parlance of the policy, visual identifiers – used by government departments other than those specified in the FIP must be approved by the Treasury Board.
In 1969, the Official Languages Act was established to ensure the equality of English and French in all federal jurisdictions. That same year, a task force found that the Canadian government was conveying a confused image to the populace through a hodge-podge of symbology and typefaces (fonts). In 1970, the FIP was created to standardize a corporate identity for the Canadian government.
--------------

A little known detail buried within this FIP program, which is not spelled out or mentioned in this Wiki article, is the rather convenient ---
(convenient, that is, to the tiny minority FPTB as being the ONLY clan who could benefit from such a "detail")
---  fact which states that any  Canadian "FEDERAL" government   department or office which happens to have -- it's main office --
located in the province of Quebec can then go that extra step and not only (as the Wiki article points out)

"ensure the equality of English and French" (which has a modicum of

reasonableness attached to it) but then can also, -- display the identity
of that federal government office -- in French first, with French as the dominant language (which, all things considered, has ZERO sense of reasonableness attached to it)

------------

Now, let's stop here and take a moment to really think about this blatant oxymoron, shall we?

We have Canadian federal government offices located within a province where, as you see in this clip ---

--- Replace the Rocky Mountains with the Chateau Frontenac -- I guess
--- Replace the CN Tower with the Bio dome -- I suppose
--- BUT... Replace the Canadian flag with a snowflake?   REALLY?

What's wrong with the "national" symbol of the very country which the province of Quebec resides within?
Oh right, they "consider themselves" a separate nation and NOT a province...

OK then, why are Canadians sending them BILLIONS in "provincial" transfer payments each and every year as if they are
A PROVINCE.

--- the FPTB (80% rule) generally DO NOT want anything to do with Canada, or for that matter, anything Canadian.

A province, and by direct association, a people, that seem perfectly OK with what amounts to taking advantage of the ROC by having federal Canadian government offices supplying the population of "la nation" of Quebec with thousands of highly sought after, good paying, very secure "CANADIAN" FEDERAL government jobs.

With the extra added LEGAL RIGHT and benefit of operating these Canadian FEDERAL government offices in French first with the minority French language having dominance?...

REALLY??

Just based on pure common etiquette, and a sense of respect for the majority, shouldn't FEDERAL government offices at this level be more representative of the countries majority population base?

That base being a majority of over 80% English speaking Canadians.

After all, even some -- loud yet incorrect and misguided voices -- within the "provincial" sphere are quick to point out the reality that...
                                 There indeed...

"has to be a common language in a country""HAS TO BE A COMMON LANGUAGE IN A COUNTRY."
{which of course, should apply to "actual countries" and not "provinces" which reside inside countries}

In a more "real sense" shouldn't the majority English speaking Canadians not deserve (and expect) the respect of having their federal institutions display the majority language (English) in the more respectful dominant position, as is incorrectly suggested for "a province" by the person in this clip?
------------

Seriously, if this "rule" was not conceived of, and implemented within the premise of being a deceptive way to allow the FPTB to use the minority French language in a dominant way within the majority English country of Canada, then how else to explain such an odd rule which gives so much power to the minority language in ANY COUNTRY?

That's right.  Any federal Canadian government office which has it's - main office, or head office - located in the province of Quebec can have its letter head, notepaper, complimentary slips, calling cards and web sites, virtually all correspondence which is generated by that office, with French in the dominant position.

This -- French first -- correspondence, by the way, then becomes the public (WORLD FACE) of

THE CANADIAN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

With examples like this
it is no wonder that people all over the world, quite reasonably but also quite incorrectly, come away with the misinterpreted view that Canada is a French dominant country.

These kinds of odd rules send the WRONG MESSAGE about what Canada is all about.

And, as much as it can be considered important to convey the message that the French language is respected in this country, it must also be considered important to maintain a healthy respect for Canadian historical British roots which are inextricably connected to its majority English speaking population.

What's further somewhat disturbing is the list of offices of strategic and political value which do fall under this criteria and actually -- DO -- operate with French in the dominant position

Department:
Employment and Social Development
140 Promenade du Portage
Gatineau, Quebec

Department:
Public Works and Government Services
Place du Portage, Phase III
11 Laurier Street, Room 18A1
Gatineau, Quebec

Department:
Labour
165 Hôtel de Ville Street
Gatineau, Quebec

Department:
Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency

Les Terrasses de la Chaudière
10 Wellington Street, 28th Floor
Gatineau, Quebec

Department:
Environment
Les Terrasses de la Chaudière
10 Wellington Street, 28th Floor
Gatineau, Quebec

Department:
Canadian Heritage
15 Eddy Street
Gatineau, Quebec

These, along with (after moving this office from Ontario to the province of Quebec at a cost to the Canadian tax payers of approx. 30 million dollars) the recently added

Federal Office of Official Languages

which is headed up by our old friend, Graham Fraser, are a few of the noted ones.

------------------

Just gotta love a system that has allowed such enormous power to be focused in the hands of such a small group of {French loyal and French centric} aristocrats.

So much so in fact that, ONE MAN back in the mid 60's was able to use this enormous power in order to set a plan in motion which would eventually see to it that "his" MINORITY clan would eventually yield more power and control over the country than the 80% majority. {CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT -- THE PLAN --}

Time for a re-boot perhaps?

Blog post # 9 - FRENCH FIRST FOR "FEDERAL" GOVERNMENT WEBSITES

A fellow concerned Canadian citizen sent me the following email.

-------------------------------

Hi,
I Just went to the government job board, and because it is under repair till the 25th, this other page comes up.

Check it out...

-------------------------------

So, I  "checked it out" and, voila...  This is what I saw.

That's right.  Whomever was in charge of the web service (three guesses which clan he / she belongs to) decided that, despite Canada being represented by a majority of approx. 80% + English speaking Canadians, they took it upon themselves to present the face of the Canadian  -- FEDERAL -- government with FRENCH FIRST and French in the DOMINANT POSITION.

My fellow concerned Canadian then took the next logical step and did the right thing.  He stuck up for all English speaking Canadians citizens who belong to the majority in this country and sent a request to have this corrected.

-----------------------------

Now, just to be sure everyone understands.

This "re-action," ---

yes, that's what it is A "RE-ACTION" And, a normal and noble one at that

---  is only being taken at STEP 1 because my fellow Canadian understands that...

NOT RE-acting

in the face of these types of things is never a good thing.

Having the experience from prior situations and knowing the history of the folks we are dealing with, and how they view such things, was what played a large role in the necessity for his immediate RE-action.

Now, for those of you who are not aware, things like disregarding the rules as to which language should be presented first on federal government sites, is not just a trivial matter to many in this clan.

It is often done with a sense of entitlement by some among them who believe the French language deserves to be prominent, thus it becomes a form of "one_up_man_ship" and a way to demonstrate power and control.

Experience has also shown that similar actions, if left unchallenged at STEP 1, only serve to embolden them to push the boundaries even further and progress to STEPS 2, 3 and 4.

In other words, no action at all, is often misinterpreted as license for them to move to STEPS 2, 3 and 4.

Plus, experience has further shown that being lenient and easy going regarding STEP 1 in order to see if there will be future liberties taken past STEP 1, only leads to the following type responses when challenges are indeed made at STEPS 2, 3 or 4

"well, we thought it was OK since you never said anything at STEP 1."

------------------

This indicates that, like children, they have to be given distinct boundaries right away and told when they are crossing the line.

Thus, we can clearly see that my fellow concerned Canadian's requests are absolutely reasonable.

------------------

Now, considering the time frame, it didn't make one bit of difference either way.  The notice ended up being posted in French first for the duration of the outage.

This whole blatant show of disrespect regarding, what should be common sense regarding how English should appear as the dominant language, is the prompt for this ...

"informational blog and response."

---------------------------------
Hi,
thanks for sending that.

This kind of thing, if nothing else,
is the kind of thing that offers up a window into how "these folks" think and how they operate.

In this case, it's not too serious and is kinda like the famous ad campaign...
You know...

-- just do it --

and then by the time (and if) anyone complains at all, it will be pretty much "a done deal" and the {FPTB} will reap the benefit, and will have once again demonstrated dominance over the majority.

Presenting their own French language in the dominant more respected position of authority.

One might think.  Ah, it's no big deal.
But, don't kid yourself.

To these folks, it is "a big deal" and it's -- ALL ABOUT -- dominance and the associated respect that goes with that.

As in, whichever language or cultural symbol holds the dominant position is viewed by most folks, as the one garnering the most respect.

If you're looking for a pure hard lined example of this, go check out the French language / slash / province of Quebec "constitution", Bill 101.

That law (if you can call it that) is a clear testament and solid proof of this "French MUST ALWAYS BE dominant" way of thinking.

--------------------

A similar type of ploy (but, on a grander scale, of course) was used in the implementation of bill 101 itself.

There is generally some element of forethought that goes into -- what "they" do and, how "they" do it --

It is pretty evident that they don't typically "JUST DO THINGS" on the cuff.

EVERYTHING has a deeper more meaningful side to it ...

Using chess (the board game) as an analogy which involves thinking three, four and sometimes, depending on things like skill level and the level of "deceptive nature" associated with the character of the participants ---

(a trait, which I can honestly say, from all the close
family exposure I experienced in and among my French relatives when I was growing up, was a VERY prevalent trait.  A trait that also showed signs of having been passed along through the generations.

--- we could be talking about five, six or even more, moves ahead.

A noble trait to be sure, when it comes to playing chess.

But, when such a trait is cleverly used against you or against those you care for personally in a physical battle or in a battle of wits over control of say,
--- a country ---
and subsequently renders you and or your kin diminished of value and or worse

Defeated and taken advantage of

That is NOT something that should be accepted without regress.

So, if we apply both the strategic element and the deceptive nature to things like say, the implementation of bill 101, it's not too difficult to imagine the planning process going into something like that.

-----------------
Begin by implementation of the bill in its harshest, most non-constitutional overreaching form

{a smart strategy in most any type of negotiations}

-- the idea being that you start by asking for the moon --

Then, if any concessions or compromises are reached or given, it could take things back to what was intended in the first place.

From that point forward, it's simply a matter of time before the democratic / slash / constitutional challenges begin.

In the meantime this EXTREMELY restrictive language law (bill 101) sits in place, "doing it's job" so to speak, as THE LAW OF THE LAND.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7NoFbOUtsA

--------------------------
BTW, as an aside...
Has it ever occurred to Canadians in the rest of Canada why "a province" inside a country that already has a constitution would need it's own "constitution?"
--------------------------

Stores are forced to change their signs immediately and businesses MUST act with due diligence in accordance to the new law, etc etc etc...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2KSCxZ_JAY

--------------

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRZuxYjNm4QThe effects are immediate and palpable and changes are felt by every segment society, either directly or as a "trickle down effect."

Those who do not want to follow the HARSH new unconstitutional version of this law must either ...

A) Leave --------------

"One of the great migrations of Canadian history."

B) Defy the law and face fines and charges which are handed down immediately and of course, guilt vs innocence is not debated and prosecution is swift and definite.

(IE:huge fines with payments due ... or court appearances expected)

or C)
Enter a challenge in the court system.
A choice (if you can call it that) that still entails changing ones signs in the interim and spending money to do the very things that are ultimately going to eventually be challenged in court.  Humm, right !!!

Now, in keeping with the "chess game" concept of thinking several moves ahead, it is somewhat clear that the {FPTB} who drafted such a harsh version of this law must have known that it would be constitutionally (or otherwise) challenged to some degree.

However, a further chess like strategy involving planning four, five, or six moves ahead, means that they also would have had a high degree of appreciation for how the legal system works and, everything that goes with that (money and the time involved etc).

This means they would be aware that a "constitutional challenge" (as opposed to the average typical court case or challenge) would not only incur astronomical legal fee's (in the hundreds of thousands of dollars range) but, were also aware these cases could take upwards of nine, ten or even many more years just to reach the supreme court level.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hq-xRwADEf4

Either way, those implementing this HARSH VERSION of bill 101 had to know these things and would have also realized that there are  ...

A) few who would have such enormous financial resources to invest for such a challenge.

and or,

B) Even fewer who would bother, even -- if -- they had the funds and resources and were not concerned about wasting these funds in this way.

In other words, the strategy implemented by the {FPTB} forced an unjust totalitarian style law on a segment of Canadian society
with the use of exorbitant times frames and the financial burden associated with trying to stop it, as the VERY FACTOR that would see to it that it was NOT going to be stopped.

NICE !!!

And besides, if all else fails Trudeau was sure to leave them "an out."

It's called the not withstanding clause.

Then, ---

and again keeping in mind the strategy involving the chess game element of planning many moves ahead,

--- we see the {FPTB} taking further advantage of the reality of those restrictive elements as they begin to see small businesses conform
and change their signs while others deal with huge fines for not complying within the time frames announced.

Those few who do decide to challenge the law...

Groups that can afford to by virtue of the fact that they are INDEED part of a "group" (ie: civil rights groups etc)
as well as large corporations who already have legal budgets set aside for such things, carry on down the long arduous road of many years of financial burden towards the hope of eventual litigation ...

Several years after implementation of bill 101 it became perfectly clear that the "thinking many moves ahead chess strategy" had pretty much worked it's magic.

Everything sort of got -- solidified and entrenched -- into every day life & reality while the very few court challenges made their way through the courts.

{Some of which are just entering the supreme court now in the year 2015

With entities like, The Quebec Office of the French Language being one of the main examples of
this "solidification."

Many things are now so firmly entrenched that, those challenges which are finally just now reaching the higher courts, end up having little to no consequence at all.

IE: Most victories in the courts became symbolic at best, and many defeats in the courts are attributed to the fact that financial resources ran out, or were never really substantial enough to "buy" the best legal counsel that money could buy in order to really have any chance in the first place.

And voila.  Here we are, the year 2015 with the tiny 17.5% ---

(4% if you count only those who are -- French ONLY and not those who are bilingual -- )

--- being represented in the dominant position on the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT web pages which are supposed to be representative of the the 80% ---

(94% if you don't count the socially engineered and manipulated numbers emanating from the province of Quebec)

---majority English speaking population.

There is also have a whole host of Canadian citizens living in a "province" inside the country of Canada who are being forced to conform to totally unjust laws which sees these Canadians being treated like second and third class citizens.

Meanwhile there are some who want to add to those original quasi constitutional laws

with NEWER laws which were passed on the back of the original so called "constitutional bill 101" law.

For the record, bill 101 can only be referred to as "constitutional" because, as was previously stated, they made it such that it was practically impossible to challenge it.

What's worse, is that hard line {FPTB} ---

DO NOT comprehend (or perhaps more aptly put -- wish to purposefully live in their fantasy world that has no room for the reality which was pointed out above)

--- go around boasting about the fact that bill 101 has passed the "constitutional sniff test" and is a perfect good and decent "constitutional law. So, everyone is obliged to follow it."

Yikes... I am not even sure I want to ask what color the sky is in their world.

One thing is for sure though...

These folks who claim that bill 101 is constitutional (in a REAL sense) are among the same type of folks that claim the province of Quebec gives more to the federal
government than the federal government (and the people of Canada) give to the province of Quebec.

Which, of course is, totally absurd unless perhaps these are folks from the same rogue group associated with those recent scandals in that province and using the same fuzzy math on those numbers as well.

----------------

The motto of this story...

Remember that YOU are the chess player and, just like my concerned fellow Canadian did...  YOU have a responsibility to speak up early in the process.
Don't wait until unjust musings from some web master or some bureaucrat has been turned into laws like bill 101 and the latest attempts to pass a law that makes Ottawa an officially bilingual city have gone through and been passed.
You HAVE A RIGHT to have your say...

Remember...
Once a law (good or bad, just or unjust) has passed into being a law,
there are certain folks who then can

AND NO DOUBT WILL...

Point to that law and proclaim,

"it's the law, therefore, YOU MUST follow it."

YIKES...

What an awful position to be in, Don't_cha_think?
