Blog Post # 18 - BILINGUALISM - A TRANSITIONAL STAGE TO AN ULTIMATELY -- FRENCH ONLY CANADA?

Blog Post # 18 - BILINGUALISM - A TRANSITIONAL STAGE TO AN ULTIMATELY -- FRENCH ONLY CANADA?

French Powers That Be = {FPTB}
Powers That Be = {PTB}

Acadian Society says,

"bilingual buses promote assimilation."

As one of our friends in unity put it,
"You gotta love how these folks twist the truth, separating kids on English/French buses is SEGREGATION, NOT ASSIMILATION."

It would seem that since "BILINGUALISM" is such a fear and a threat to the French PTB then, the only remaining options is
-- French only --

These kinds of comments PROVE that, as far as the French PTB are concerned, the language issue in Canada is NO LONGER (perhaps never was) about the English & French living together in harmony in a "bilingual" country / slash / province.

The kind of rhetoric we are hearing from the FPTB against bilingualism shows us that the use of the "interim" term "bilingualism" is simply a road-map towards the ultimate goal of a pure French centric Canada with ZERO possibility of any threat of assimilation because the French PTB are making sure to eliminate all forms of English and more importantly bilingualism from existing.

Think about it.

The average Canadian would not allow The French PTB to accomplish the move towards the goal of ...
-- TOTAL FRENCHIFICATION --
if the French PTB were to come straight out and actually say, "we want -- FRENCH ONLY --" No one would buy into that.

But, their use of the interim term -- "bilingualism" -- as in "we want a bilingual Canada" was something that people / slash / Canadians could buy into
(and have bought into through the years.)

However, this segregated busing issue clearly proves that the request for bilingualism is merely an interim state and once the French PTB get the opportunity in any given area, that area begins the transition (as you see in this clip) to...
-- FRENCH ONLY --

This is happening in New Brunswick and also in parts of eastern Ontario right now.

---------------------

As for the segregated buses, the president of the New Brunswick Acadian Society, Jeanne d'Arc Gaudet, says, "it's time to end the debate over bilingual school buses and  -- JUST ALLOW IT -- to take place."

Isn't it interesting how J. Gaudet and the French PTB started out this "debate" by -- trying -- to force the English into compliance by quoting a supreme court ruling which they thought backed up their 1950's style segregation ideal.

Then, when they realized (were told) that the court ruling they were trying to quote DID NOT say anything about how the buses were "part of the school day" AT ALL,

the French PTB switched to a new tact.

Actually, it's an
-- AN OLD TACTIC --

That's right...
The old
"take a Valium,
shut up and "play along with WHAT WE WANT" routine similar to the tactic which was used by the French PTB back in the Rene Levesque days.

One would think that English speaking Canadians would have learned their lesson from that one.

Yup, the French PTB are now backtracking and trying to use the old and -- VERY TIRED -- argument about how the French are being assimilated, as the reason why the rest of Canadians should put aside their common sense and just... "end the debate"
and let them have their budget busting, 1950's social engineering style segregated school buses

-- JUST BECAUSE --
-----------------------

"Minorities learn the language of the majority," she said. "Our children, they know English sometimes better than they know French." Jeanne D'Arc Gaudet

Jeanne d'Arc Gaudet says in a statement, "Bilingual school bus transportation promotes assimilation." (Michael R. LeBlanc/CBC)
This level of "fear of assimilation" tells us ALL
EVERYTHING WE NEED TO KNOW.
-----------------------------
Gaudete, and the French PTB generally, seem to have an awful lot of fear of the English language, as demonstrated by things like bill 101 in the province of Quebec and Jeanne Gaudet's own rhetoric here.

"We all know that ...
bilingual is anglophone, sorry, but that's the way it is." Gaudet says

------------------------------
So, the answer, according to the French PTB, is to allow them to do what they have pretty much gotten away with already in Canada's public service?

The French PTB do not seem to care much about a healthy form of "BILINGUALISM" where there is choice.

IE:
-- A situation where the English can CHOSE to speak English if they wish
AND
-- the French can CHOSE to speak French if they wish.

Oh no, that's NOT what THEY WANT at all.
Their "fear of assimilation"means there can be -- NO ENGLISH ANYWHERE --

Therefore, the French PTB have actually chosen to focus on ways (as you see here) to FORCE and bully the English into speaking French ONLY  ...

and if they can't speak French then,

according to these French PTB, the English MUST BE REPLACED

"with someone who -- can -- speak French."

-------------------------------

Gaudet would like to see anglophones given the opportunity to be immersed in French which would include immersion before the current Grade 3 entry point.

Yeah, no doubt.

That's certainly what Gaudet and the French PTB would want.

-------------------------------

It's time for the English speaking Canadians to WAKE UP and realize that the French clearly have a such a fear assimilation that it manifests itself into an automatic

"French ONLY, THERE MUST BE NO ENGLISH ALLOWED"

state of being.

IT IS FURTHER CLEAR and worth pointing out that the French PTB ARE ALSO NOT INTERESTED IN

-- bilingualism -- AT ALL.

We see examples of this in the province of Quebec where the French PTB want nothing to do with bilingualism.
WATCH THIS:
Even referring to "BILINGUALISM" as a nuisance

Then we see examples in areas outside the province of Quebec where they have outnumbered the English and have pushed bilingualism out of the picture as well.
WATCH THIS:

The French PTB are pushing for French dominance and ZERO  bilingualism.

They WANT FRENCH ONLY both inside and outside the province of Quebec.

They demand to be able to live, work and be accommodated IN FRENCH ONLY all across ALL of Canada.
Notice the signs in this small town in (in the video) --> ONTARIO are NOT bilingual but French ONLY

 Because, to them
BILINGUALISM = death
bilingualism = assimilation

Think about it.

If there cannot be "bilingualism" for fear of assimilation then ANY form of English is not welcome.

This automatically MUST MEAN that the French powers that be

want a country that is
COMPLETELY VOID OF ALL ENGLISH

AND THAT...

IS UNACCEPTABLE

  1. The French culture has survived for 400 years w/o mandated language laws and w/o being assimulated so why now the new push? Two things have changed ; their numbers have increased to the point that they see their domination of government as being possible and Trudeau's charter opened that door for them. They now see this as their chance to reverse the fortunes of history.

    1. Well said Lenmcl. You pegged it 100%. Nothing less than an unchallenged coup with the help of a former powerful leader who put in place a legal framework that can accommodate this "dream" for "his own clan."

They {TFPTB} disrespect the Canada we know (making Canada day -- July 1st -- moving day in the province of Quebec and having their own fleur de lys "NATIONAL" holiday)

They {TFPTB} disrespect the English language, the English people and even the Canadian flag as they gradually change things so that Canada appears as a French national on the world stage.

There are some among them {TFPTB} that are openly talking about this as well.

wrote a book called "re-conquering Canada." How much more blatant can they be?

Thanks for your very insightful comment and,
please pass this on to as many people as you can as we MUST find a way to wake people up as to what is going on before it's too late.
